Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: May 15, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets the ground rules for using TrustClinic, a marketplace operated by B2A Consulting - FZCO (Dubai, UAE). It applies to everyone: prospective patients, board-certified surgeons, clinic staff, and any other visitor. Violating this AUP can result in content removal, account suspension, or termination. This AUP is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
1. Rules for Everyone
- Do not impersonate another person, surgeon, or organization.
- Do not post unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
- Do not upload viruses, malware, or attempt to disrupt the Platform.
- Do not attempt to bypass security controls, authentication, or rate limits.
- Do not scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform without our written permission.
- Do not use the Platform in violation of any U.S. federal, state, or local law.
2. Rules for Patients
- Submit your real name, email, and phone number when contacting a surgeon. Fake leads waste surgeon time and degrade Platform quality.
- Only post a review based on a genuine experience with the surgeon. Reviews must reflect your honest opinion.
- Do not accept payment, discounts, or gifts in exchange for posting or removing a review.
- Only upload photos you have the right to share. Do not post photos of other patients without their consent.
- Do not include personally identifying medical information about others in reviews or messages.
3. Rules for Surgeons & Clinics
Surgeons hold a position of trust on TrustClinic. We hold listed surgeons to a higher standard than the public-facing audience.
- Credentials must be accurate. Only board-certified surgeons (ABPS, ABFPRS, or equivalent) may list cosmetic-surgery services. Misrepresenting credentials is grounds for immediate removal and may be reported to the relevant medical board.
- No fake or incentivized reviews. Do not post reviews yourself, ask staff or family to post, or offer patients anything of value in exchange for a review. This violates FTC Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) and our Terms.
- No review gating. You may not screen patients for positive sentiment before asking them to post a review. Either ask all eligible patients or none.
- Respect lead exclusivity. When you receive a patient lead, the patient has chosen to contact you specifically. Do not share their contact details with third parties (medical-tourism brokers, lead-resellers, marketing networks).
- Honest before-and-after photos. Only post photos of actual patients of yours who have consented in writing to publication on TrustClinic. Do not retouch outcomes. Do not post stock images, AI-generated outcomes, or photos belonging to other surgeons.
- Honest pricing. If you list pricing, it must reflect real, current pricing at your clinic. Bait pricing is prohibited.
- No off-platform poaching of other surgeons’ reviewers. Do not message reviewers on other surgeons’ profiles to redirect them to you.
- Respond professionally to reviews. Responses must comply with HIPAA — do not confirm or deny that a reviewer is a patient or disclose any details about their care.
4. Review Integrity
We use automated and manual signals to detect review manipulation, including IP and device fingerprinting, posting patterns, and content similarity. If we find evidence of fake, incentivized, or gated reviews, we will:
- Remove the affected reviews.
- Display a warning badge on the surgeon’s profile.
- For repeat or egregious violations, suspend or terminate the surgeon’s account.
- Report suspected fraud to the FTC where appropriate.
5. Reporting & Enforcement
To report a violation, email trust@trustclinic.co with a description of the issue and any supporting evidence (URLs, screenshots, dates). We review every report and typically respond within 5 business days.
We may, at our sole discretion: remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, ban a user, or terminate a surgeon’s listing. Where required by law, we will report criminal conduct to authorities.
6. Appeals
If your account is suspended or content removed, you may appeal by emailing appeals@trustclinic.co within 30 days. Include your account email and an explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect. We will review and respond within 14 business days.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after the updated AUP takes effect constitutes acceptance.
