1. Not Medical Advice
Articles, procedure pages, cost guides, surgeon profiles, before-and-after photos, reviews, FAQs, recovery timelines, and any other content on TrustClinic are informational. They are not, and must not be relied on as, medical advice. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
Always seek the advice of a qualified physician with any question you may have regarding a medical condition or procedure. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on TrustClinic.
2. No Doctor-Patient Relationship
Browsing TrustClinic, reading content, submitting a lead form, viewing a surgeon’s profile, or messaging a surgeon through the Platform does not create a doctor-patient relationship between you and TrustClinic, and does not create such a relationship with any surgeon listed on the Platform until that surgeon has personally accepted you as a patient through their own intake process.
3. About Surgeon Listings
TrustClinic compiles surgeon profiles from public sources including the NPI Registry, state medical boards, board-certification databases, and surgeon-submitted information. We make reasonable efforts to confirm that each listed surgeon holds an active medical licence and relevant board certification at the time of listing.
However, we do not:
- Audit clinical outcomes, complication rates, malpractice history, or patient-satisfaction data.
- Continuously monitor every surgeon’s licence status. Licences can be suspended or revoked between our verification cycles. Always confirm a surgeon’s current licence status with the relevant state medical board before booking.
- Endorse any specific surgeon. Inclusion in our directory is not a recommendation.
- Guarantee that any individual surgeon will accept you as a patient or be available for your timeline.
4. Outcomes Vary
Cosmetic and reconstructive surgery results vary significantly between patients. Photos and reviews on TrustClinic depict individual results for the specific patient pictured or quoted. They are not a guarantee, promise, or prediction of the outcome you would experience.
Your individual results depend on many factors a website cannot evaluate: your anatomy, general health, age, lifestyle, the specific surgical technique used, the surgeon you select, your post-operative care, and elements of chance. Only a board-certified surgeon who has personally examined you can give you a realistic indication of your likely outcome.
5. All Surgery Carries Risk
Every surgical procedure carries risks including but not limited to: infection, bleeding, scarring, nerve damage, asymmetry, dissatisfaction with results, the need for revision surgery, anaesthesia complications, and in rare cases serious injury or death. Risks vary by procedure, by patient, and by surgeon. You should understand the specific risks of any procedure from the surgeon who will perform it, not from this website.
6. Pricing & Financing
Procedure cost ranges shown on TrustClinic are aggregated averages and ranges from surgeons, public price lists, and industry data. They do not represent quotes. Your actual cost will depend on your surgeon, your specific procedure plan, anaesthesia, facility fees, geographic location, revisions, and follow-up care. Always obtain a personalised written quote from the surgeon before scheduling.
7. Emergencies
TrustClinic cannot help with medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency — including a post-operative complication such as significant bleeding, severe pain, signs of infection, breathing difficulty, or any life-threatening symptom — call 911(United States), go to the nearest emergency room, or contact your surgeon’s emergency line immediately.
8. Third-Party Content
TrustClinic may display reviews, photos, and other content originating from third parties (e.g. RealSelf, Healthgrades, Yelp, Vitals, Zocdoc) under our Reviews & Testimonials Policy. We do not independently verify the medical accuracy of third-party content. Where a review or article references medical claims, those claims have not been reviewed by a TrustClinic medical advisor unless explicitly labelled as “medically reviewed”.
9. Editorial & Medical Review
Articles on the TrustClinic blog are produced under our editorial standards and may be reviewed by a board-certified surgeon advisor. Where an article has been medically reviewed, the reviewing surgeon’s name, credentials, and review date are shown at the top of the article. Where no medical reviewer is shown, the article reflects editorial-team research and has not been individually signed off by a licensed physician.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrustClinic and its operators, officers, employees, and contributors are not liable for any health-related decision you make based on information you obtained from the Platform, nor for the acts, omissions, or treatment outcomes of any surgeon, clinic, or healthcare provider listed on the Platform. Full limitation-of-liability terms are in our Terms of Service.
11. Contact
