Terms of Service

TrustClinic is an online marketplace that helps prospective patients in the United States discover, compare, and contact board-certified cosmetic surgeons. We display surgeon profiles, verified reviews, before-and-after photos, pricing information, and educational content.

TrustClinic is not a medical provider. We do not practice medicine, provide medical advice, perform procedures, or supervise the surgeons listed on the Platform. We are not a party to any agreement between you and any surgeon or clinic.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Platform. By using TrustClinic you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you submit is accurate.

Certain features require an account. Surgeons create accounts to claim and manage their profile, subscribe to paid plans, and receive patient leads. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us at security@trustclinic.co if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.

Profiles are populated from public sources (including the NPI Registry, state medical boards, and surgeon-submitted information) and, where available, verified against board-certification records. We make reasonable efforts to confirm that listed surgeons hold an active medical license and a relevant board certification, but we do not independently audit clinical outcomes, complication rates, or pricing.

Surgeons are responsible for the accuracy of the content they submit. TrustClinic may edit, remove, or refuse to publish content that we believe is misleading, unlawful, or violates these Terms.

Content on TrustClinic is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified physician with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or procedure. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read on TrustClinic.

Procedure outcomes vary. Photos and reviews depict individual results and are not a guarantee of any particular outcome for you.

Surgeons may subscribe to paid plans (Premium or Elite) to unlock additional features such as patient lead access and review responses. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis via Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

You may cancel a subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; previously billed amounts will not be refunded on a pro-rata basis.

You retain ownership of content you post (reviews, photos, messages, profile information). By submitting content, you grant TrustClinic a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Platform and in related marketing.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you submit, including any required consents for before-and-after photographs of identifiable patients.

Patient reviews must reflect a genuine experience. We prohibit fake, incentivized, or competitor-disparaging reviews. We may verify reviews by requesting proof of treatment and may remove reviews that violate our guidelines. Surgeons on a Premium or Elite plan may publicly respond to reviews on their profile.

You agree not to misuse the Platform. See the Acceptable Use Policy for the full list, including no scraping, no off-platform solicitation of contacted patients, no fake reviews, and no impersonation.

The Platform integrates third-party services (including Stripe for payments, Supabase for data storage, Resend for email, and PostHog for analytics) and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

The Platform, including all software, text, graphics, logos, and the TrustClinic name and marks, is owned by TrustClinic or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TRUSTCLINIC DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY SURGEON OR CLINIC LISTED WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUSTCLINIC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TRUSTCLINIC IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold TrustClinic harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident in the United States, nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer-protection rights granted to you by the laws of your state of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify users by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
