Dr. Abhay Gupta is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in San Diego, California, with subspecialty expertise in microsurgical reconstruction and aesthetic breast surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario and completed residency training in both general surgery and plastic surgery. Dr. Gupta then completed two years of fellowship training — one year in microsurgical reconstruction at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and one year in aesthetic and breast surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Florida. He previously served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Chief of Breast Surgery at UT Health San Antonio before establishing Gupta Plastic Surgery in San Diego in 2004.
