Our daughter had a minor surgery performed by Dr. Yamada. Every interaction with him has been great. We had awesome staff on surgery day at Lurie’s as well! It made all the difference! My 4 year old daughter came away from it talking about what a great day she had and all the things she got to do! She had such a positive experience. Our nurse, Anna, helped us get set up with playdough to play with and a coloring page of my daughter’s favorite character to color with crayons. The anesthesiologist had my daughter’s favorite movie playing on her phone while they wheeled her back to surgery. Dr. Yamada gave my daughter a marker and paper to color with during pre-op. He connects well with my daughter and she is happy to share all her stories with him! My daughter never complained of pain and her scar is healing great! We could not have had a better experience!!!
