A breast cancer diagnosis can be devastating. In addition to dealing with the prospect of battling cancer… and undergoing a mastectomy ( an amputation) you wonder if you will ever be whole again. Breast reconstruction is not cosmetic surgery. It is reconstructive surgery, performed to restore a normal form to women who have undergone mastectomy so that they will not be handicapped in their everyday living. Dr. Alan Lim's objective; We restore, repair and make whole those parts....which fortune has taken away, not so much that they may delight the eye, but that they may buoy up the spirit and help the mind of the afflicted. Dr. Lim is personable, punctual, warm, friendly; he gives you plenty of time to ask questions and his office staff was notably open to pre- and post-surgical questions, panic attacks, and needs. My surgical experience could not have been better and by far exceeded my expectations to restore, repair and make whole my spirit and breast. Dr. Lim is my hero

I had a breast reduction and I am very satisfied! I was a DDD and I trusted Alan Lim to reduce my breast for relief of my back pain. I did not request him to make my breast a certain size because I trusted him as a surgeon and did not want to put any limitations on his work. He reduced my breast to fit my height and weight perfectly. They are perky and even now. My back pain has improved, and I still have sensation in my nipples. Alan is very gifted!

Dr. Lim is the 3rd and final doctor I have seen for reconstructed breasts. He has revised and improved upon the work of other doctors with dignity and class. After a long journey with breast cancer I can say: "Yes. You can have nicely reconstructed breasts. But you have to really want them". This means a willingness to accept that it is a process that might take more than a couple of surgeries. And a process that may require meeting more than one plastic surgeon. Thank you, Dr. Lim.

Dr. Lim is a kind and very understanding man. He removed what is called "dog ears" from underneath my armpits, and slightly down both sides of the trunk of my body. This caused great discomfort after the bi-lateral masectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and swelling had decreased significantly. He listened, and I felt extremely comfortable with his recommendations. He performed the surgery and removed those areas of left-over fat, and as the healing took place the discomfort also decreased.

This doctor did not listen to my request. He specializes in a "natural", very droopy reconstructed breast look, so it doesn't matter what you want. Extremely disappointed with results after my double mastectomy and reconstruction
