My experience with Dr. Lechtman and his team was nothing short of wonderful. After waiting since I was 15 (half my life) for a chance at a breast reduction, I was blessed to be referred to his practice, where his staff is just lovely. The doctor himself is kind and warm, with wonderful bedside manner that put me at such ease throughout the whole process. I had my first appointment in December 2024, my official consult in January 2025, and my surgery in June 2025, which was a surprisingly quick time frame compared to my expectations (though this will obviously vary from patient to patient). Dr. Lechtman and his team helped me feel completely prepared for the procedure and what to expect in the leadup to it, as well. When it came to deciding on my ideal breast size, I knew I wanted to be much smaller (a B cup, from a G/H), but feared any surgeon might try to talk me into something larger or more "proportionate" to my body. Not Dr. Lechtman. When I told him I had always dreamed of being small, his immediate response was "let's make that dream a reality, then." The day of surgery and the procedure itself went as smoothly as could be, and I felt well informed of each step by the surgical team (shoutout to Sequoia Surgical, a wonderful center with kind staff). I was overcome with joy and relief from the moment I awoke, even shedding a few tears. The pain was very manageable (I am so glad this doctor doesn't use drains!), and the healing process was shockingly easy, (though again this obviously varies). I felt totally informed of the steps of recovery, so there were no surprises I was unprepared to handle. This breast reduction has truly changed my life. I feel confident and comfortable in my own body for the first time since I can remember, and no longer avoid mirrors, but admire my silhouette in them now, instead! I can wear whatever style of clothing I want (I've gone from oversize everything and granny bras, to going braless in crop tops!), and only wish I'd felt this free and positive in my teens and 20s. But I can't change that now, so I choose to celebrate this gift I have been given now! Overall, I cannot recommend Dr. Lechtman and his practice highly enough to absolutely anyone. The leadup to surgery and past 5 month of recovery have been a delight to work with them, the results are spectacular, and he even takes insurance. And if you are reading this and on the fence about scheduling a consult, DO IT. You only have everything to gain. Thank you, Dr. Lechtman, for the sheer joy you have brought to me through your marvelous work, and I look forward to thanking you again in person at my next follow-up :)

In 2021, I received a breast reduction with Dr. Lechtman. I was left DEFORMED. My breasts are two different sizes now. My scars look horrid, and my areolas are completely misshaped. I went in to have a scar revision twice, and finally, Dr. Lechtman said to me, "How picky are you going to be?" He completely dismissed my feelings about my breasts and the complications I had. The tissues on my skin looks mangled. I have scar tissue attached to my muscle, which makes my whole breast move any time I move my arm. It's going to cost me about $15,000+ to fix his mistakes. I would never recommend him to anyone!!!!

I recently had an explant surgery with Dr. Alex Lechtman, and unfortunately, I’m very disappointed with the results and the care I received. From the beginning, I expected a professional, diligent approach — especially since my original implant surgery with another surgeon left my breasts with a clean, symmetrical finish and a well-done outline around the nipple area. In contrast, this experience felt careless. After the explant, I noticed that the nipples were not closed out with any attention to detail. The stitching was uneven and poorly done, and it seems like the surgeon completely ignored the original clean outline left by my previous doctor — something that should have been very simple to follow. Now I’m left with deformed nipples and scars that look rushed and unprofessional. What’s worse is the energy at my final post-op appointment. When he unwrapped the bandages, he looked at me and said, “This is what you wanted,” in a very condescending and dismissive tone. That interaction made me feel like my choice to remove my implants was not respected — like I was being punished for it. This has been physically and emotionally upsetting. I trusted this doctor to handle my body with care and respect, and I did not receive that. I strongly urge others to research thoroughly and ensure they’re choosing a surgeon who not only has skill, but also compassion. I hope you DO NOT go to Dr. Lechtman for implant removal surgery. I should have been a lot more careful and considered the mistake he made 9 months ago from another client of his - please read her review as well.
