I underwent a lower lid blepharoplasty with Dr. Buinewicz over a year ago, and I am very unhappy with both the outcome and the follow-up care. After more than a year of healing, my lower lids are visibly uneven—one sits lower than the other—and my eyes are now different shapes. I also have visible scar tissue at the incision sites where the stitches were placed. In addition, my eyes remain extremely sensitive to this day. My recovery was extremely grueling, both physically and emotionally. Due to significant swelling, I required frost stitches in both eyes for 12 days. The prolonged recovery was traumatic for me and had a lasting emotional impact, which I did not anticipate going into this procedure. During follow-up visits, I expressed my concerns. Dr. Buinewicz stated that he would attempt to use a laser to reduce some of the scar tissue, and an appointment was scheduled. However, one week before that appointment, the office contacted me to say the doctor needed rotator cuff surgery and that they would call me in a few weeks to reschedule. This was back in May 2025 and no one from the office has ever contacted me to reschedule. Cosmetic surgery is a major physical, emotional, and financial decision. Based on my experience—with the results, the recovery, and the lack of follow-up—I would never in a years recommend him to anyone.

Dr. B was highly recommended for total capsulectomy surgery and I knew in the 1st minute of meeting him that he would be my surgeon. I cannot say enough good things about this man. I am so glad I found Dr. B. From the moment I met him, I knew he was the Dr. I wanted to perform my procedure. He listened to my concerns and was knowledgeable, kind and attentive. I was so over conservative treatments as they did nothing for me. He did not try to talk me into more of the same and agreed to go ahead with Co2 laser resurfacing. I just had the procedure and am so excited to see the final result. I trust and respect him. He does not treat you like a number. He truly cares about his patients and takes time to answer your questions and check in with you! I highly recommend him!
