I had a disappointing experience with this practice during a breast reconstruction consultation following a cancer diagnosis. Scheduling took weeks and required multiple follow-ups — a deeply stressful delay when time and clarity are critical. The surgeon, Dr. Reid, spent the majority of the visit discussing his academic accomplishments rather than listening to my needs. Even more concerning was the casual and insensitive language used to describe my anatomy. This was the only negative experience out of four consultations I had across different systems, regions, and providers. If you’re a patient seeking reconstruction, I strongly suggest exploring options outside of San Diego — there are compassionate, skilled providers who take the time to understand and support your individual journey.

Dr. Reid is my plastic surgeon. He rebuilt my.left breast after my mastectomy. The results were nothing short of amazing.
