If I could give 100 stars, I would. Dr Chang’s work changed my life. I’ve been struggling with my ex-large breasts, posture challenges, headaches, back pain, weight struggles for most of my adult life, breathing issues, too. I am non-binary, and could never identify with my size. What a struggle - I still shiver thinking about it. My primary care Dr and I talked about my breasts and general mobility issues. I told her about my wanting to reduce them significantly. She was open to helping me find a good surgeon, suggested Dr Chang, and so it happened within a few weeks. I have so much appreciation for the entire office. Everyone from front desk, insurance / finance person, PA, Dr Chang - just outstanding bedside manners, they’re very efficient, kind, they all have listening skills and know what they’re doing. Everyone is helpful and encouraging and fun to deal with. Follow up appts - never an issue, they’re somewhat flexible and they all have great communication skills. I’m autistic and this type communication is important for me. Also, I have a trained service animal by my side, and they were always professional, welcoming, just wonderful with her presence. Can’t thank them enough for that. During all the exams, I felt comfortable, Dr Chang always took my all things serious and was open to whatever I needed done. He’s ethical and open to answering all questions. All I wanted was - they need to be small. Really small. It took us a minute to find out how I would define “really small”, since I’m not familiar with sizing. He told me to let him know whenever I was ready. That was great. I ended up sending him an email explaining how I want to feel, how I see myself and how my life looks like on a day to day. Apparently he “heard” me. The day of the surgery, he came to see me to do his drawings. He said I could trust him, he’ll make it right. I had no idea what the outcome would be and all I said was please, make them small. When I woke up, I felt this huge wave of relief. Even though I was completely wrapped up, I could feel he did the right thing. I healed up super well and super quickly, no issues. I had fixed follow up appointments after the surgery, the drains came out like two days later, they put me in a mastectomy bra, and then my life went its way. I was careful with my upper body, but I did not have a day of pain, I did not have to take medication, I went back to my day to day on day five. Since my dog is trained, she could help me with my laundry, she picked up items from the floor, she delivered things to me and she helped me tremendously. Between her and my husband, and my friends, recovery went very well. I could not take care of my drains on my own, my husband had to do it. I didn’t expect that I was squeamish, but I definitely was. It’s not for the faint of heart. I had some limitations with lifting or stretching, but other than that, everything was perfect. He took about 15 pounds of my chest and I could feel how my body adjusted and after just a couple of days, I felt so connected with myself. All the follow up appointments were wonderful, quick, sufficient, no complaints. I had a minor issue with a tape that I was using, but getting inbetween appointments to address that and to fix it, was a breeze. Today was my last follow up, I had my after–photo shoot, I am 30 pounds down and I’m feeling wonderfully. I had to and still have to do physical therapy, but that is going very well and I’m improving every single day. Dr. Chang is really an artist - he is so skilled and efficient and straight forward. He really likes what he’s doing, you can tell. Yes, thank you very much for everything and I’m happy and feel 100% comfortable in my body. After such a big change, you have to re-learn your new body. I’m really thankful that he’s part of my health team and that he took my case and understood what the “assignment” was. I can highly recommend him, if you need someone to help you to improve your life.

Dr. Chang is an exceptional surgeon and I’m so grateful he is part of my breast cancer team. He and my breast surgeon worked very closely to approach my difficult case with care and thought, all while prioritizing my personal hopes and long term safety. I highly recommend him and his team for anyone dealing with breast cancer. His approach is honest, thoughtful, and respectful. My aesthetic outcome is better than I thought possible - the silver lining to a really hard experience. His PA is also excellent and a great communicator.

Dr. Chang was highly recommended by a friend who had reconstruction after breast cancer. He performed an abdominoplasty for me to repair my diastasis recti. He was thorough in his explanation and care leading up to the surgery. I felt great with his medical team the day of. And he and his team were a great support as I recovered through follow up appointments and emails. He creates a great environment of care, information, and trust. Thank you, Dr. Chang!

I came to Dr. Chang initially because of a review that referred to him as an “aesthetic perfectionist”, and now it’s full circle that I’m leaving a review to say the same. I truly can’t thank him and Anna Riley (surgical PA) enough for the experience I’ve had with them throughout the entire journey of getting a breast reduction. They were very patient with my many evaluations and questions that came up, helpful with providing documentation requested by insurance at various stages, and very proactive in my early post-op days. Both Dr. Chang and Anna Riley checked in with me the afternoon of my surgery, and Anna Riley gave me her cell phone number to check in periodically as well. She was extremely helpful, and I felt really valued and taken care of in that early vulnerable state. Also want to mention Susy who was also really helpful with a lot of the documentation and logistical issues that came up. Highly recommend this team!

Dr. Chang is truly an exceptional surgeon and a compassionate caregiver. After my mastectomy, he performed my reconstructive surgery, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, he made sure I felt comfortable with the entire process, answering every question with patience and kindness. His attention to detail and commitment to achieving the best possible outcome were evident—he wasn’t satisfied until I was completely happy with the results. I am beyond grateful for his expertise and the care he provided during such a difficult time. I highly recommend Dr. Chang to anyone in need of reconstructive surgery!
