I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Morwood and his entire team.
From the moment I walked into the office, I felt genuinely cared for, not just processed like a patient on a schedule. The energy is calm, welcoming, and professional, but still warm and real. Jasmin, Maria, Evelyn, and Phyllis—the wonderful ladies on the team are all so kind, attentive, and sweet—absolute gems. They made everything feel easy from check in to follow up, and I always felt supported and reassured.
My consultation experience with Dr. Morwood was very positive and enjoyable. I came in with concerns about my breast implants being firm, hard capsules that I was not happy with. He took his time, listened, and explained everything clearly from A to Z. He went over options, his recommendations, risks, and what to expect in a way that was thorough but still easy to understand. He is a great listener and gave me his full attention & time for any questions I had. I never felt rushed or judged and I left feeling informed and confident.
Something that stood out to me, especially as a nurse, was how Dr. Morwood made the consult a teaching moment for his medical assistants. He explained what he was assessing, what he was thinking clinically, and why certain details mattered. That says so much about who he is. He is not only skilled, he is generous with his knowledge and he leads his team with kindness in a way that builds them up.
He also has a book collection he created based on his teachings, and it is truly impressive. It is informative, beautifully put together, and filled with stunning coastal (Big Sur/Monterey) photos. They include real patient photos that help you understand what you are seeing and set realistic expectations. He also uses clear, relatable analogies that make complex concepts easy to grasp. By the time I finished reading, so many of my questions were already answered, and it was the perfect prep before my procedure.
The procedure itself was an explant while I was awake under local anesthesia, and I was surprisingly calm because I felt completely safe in his hands. Dr. Morwood was gentle and communicated throughout, explaining what he was doing and what was coming next. His team was in sync and everything felt smooth and efficient.
What really touched me was how thoughtful he was as a human. The night before my procedure, Dr. Morwood left me the sweetest voicemail saying he was thinking about my case and hoping I got good sleep. I have never had a doctor do that. After the procedure, he even gave me yellow roses to take home. Those gestures meant so much and really reflect the kind of care you get here.
I am now a few days post op and I have had basically no pain. I have not needed painkillers, and I already feel relief in my back and overall comfort from being lighter, which was the whole reason I chose explant. I am so grateful for how smooth the entire process was.
