I have been delighted with my experience at Gayoso Plastic Surgery. From the consultation to the scheduling and financial meeting, the staff was warm, caring, professional, and knowledgeable. Dr Gayoso is technically excellent and strives to understand what the patient wants. He listens and spends as much time as needed during each appointment. The whole process was much less overwhelming than I expected, thanks to Dr Gayoso and his staff.

10 out of 10! Dr. Beninger and staff were incredibly patient, thorough, and kind as they guided me on my procedure. I felt I had an abundance of education and support throughout the process. The convenience and personalized care of having the surgical suite on site was an added bonus.

I chose Dr. Gayoso for my breast revision because of his reputation as one of the best plastic surgeons in St. Petersburg. Unfortunately, my experience has been deeply disappointing and costly — both physically and financially. I originally had a breast augmentation in 2016. Over time, my implant pockets stretched (which I later learned can occur in patients with naturally stretchier tissue). While my breasts still looked good, the implants moved excessively, causing discomfort and pain and requiring constant support just to feel comfortable. In late 2021, I went to Dr. Gayoso for a breast implant swap and revision to correct this exact issue. Initially, the results were great — and cosmetically, they still look fine today. However, about 2–2.5 years later, I began experiencing the same problem again in my right breast. The implant shifts significantly when I lie down, even moving toward my armpit, causing ongoing discomfort. When I returned to Dr. Gayoso for evaluation, he confirmed that my tissue had stretched again. During this visit, he mentioned an internal support mesh (“internal bra”) that could have been used during my 2021 revision but was not discussed at the time. Had this option been presented then, I would have chosen it without hesitation to avoid another surgery, anesthesia exposure, recovery period, and significant additional cost. Despite this being the same issue I initially sought correction for, I was informed that another revision would involve paying full surgical, facility, and anesthesia fees again. There was no sense that this complication was being addressed as part of the prior work or long-term surgical planning. I am now 29 years old and facing a third breast surgery (second revision) — not by choice, but because the same issue was not fully addressed. I will not be returning to Dr. Gayoso and have scheduled care with a new surgeon who specializes in internal bra techniques. Unfortunately, this means more time off work, more expense, and putting my body through another surgery that could have potentially been avoided. While Dr. Gayoso’s aesthetic work is good, I left feeling that critical long-term solutions — and realistic expectations for durability — were not fully explained upfront. When a patient presents specifically with tissue laxity and implant movement, all available structural support options should be discussed clearly, along with how revisions are handled if the same problem recurs. I wish my experience had matched the reputation. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Dr. Gayoso for patients with similar tissue concerns who are looking for long-term corrective solutions.

I came to Dr Lo while going through chemotherapy for breast cancer. At the time my weight was higher than normal for me due to the steroids. I explained to Dr Lo that I did not want large implants.I wanted to go smaller, a C or a B Cup, when I woke up from surgery, he had put in size D. Initially, I didn't say anything.I was still going through chemotherapy and had a lot going on.Emotionally, and at the same time was moving to another county. Of course, I ended up losing a lot of weight after treatment. And had size d breasts, which were very uncomfortable.I was no longer in saint petersburg ended up having to go to a plastic surgeon in gainesville, that thank god was able to remove those massive implants and fix correctly what I wanted done. Doctor Lo does not explain does not talk of options.Just does what he wants.I would not recommend anyone having reconstruction for breast.Cancer to go to him.

From the moment I walked in on consult day all the way through to surgery, I have never been treated so respectfully in an office. Gina, Nicole & Dr. Gayoso went above & beyond to make sure all questions were answered and that I was comfortable the entire time. Would 1000% recommend them to all my friends and family!
