Dr. Pitts…thank goodness for skilled surgeons like Dr. Pitts. I am an overall very healthy 45 year old aside from having had breast cancer. My mastectomy and original reconstruction was done at the Faulkner hospital. A year and four botched surgeries later I was left with 2 different sized implants, lots of scars and built up skin and tissue under my armpits. My original surgeon said my only options were DIEP Flap or LAT Flap surgery. I really did not want other parts of my body cut into. After crying almost everyday and convincing my friends that they could not send pictures of me to Dr. Dubrow so we could all fly to Cali and be on the E! Show Botched a friend of mine had me call Dr. Pitts office. I spoke to Jill who knew all the reconstructive breast cancer lingo, which was the first good sign. Knowing my history she set my expectations for just in case. I met with Dr. Pitts and instantly it was a completely different experience. First, you always and only meet with her. Secondly, she fully looked at my body and came up with a plan that didn’t include any Flap surgery. It has been 4 weeks since I had surgery with Dr. Pitts. She made new incisions, which is what I asked my old surgeon, but she told me that my skin could die. Dr. Pitts made sure the incision was as far away from my radiated skin as possible. So far I am healing well and I look 1,000 times better than the old surgeon left me. After my surgery Jill from Dr. Pitts called to check in on me multiple times. All of my follow up appointments have been with Dr. Pitts. At my old surgeon she alternated between seeing her and the PA. They each would tell me differnt things. It was quite confusing and upsetting especially when there were so many issues with the old surgeon. Dr. Pitts actually looked at me…my individual situation. I wasn’t just a number or Another patient to get in and out the door. Having breast cancer and a double mastectomy is emotional enough, but when you have an unskilled surgeon it makes things that much worse. Thank goodness for Dr. Pitts. Dr. Pitts has fixed me!! I now at least feel somewhat normal and am working with someone that is working WITH me. I wish I went and saw her sooner. At least I found her and now know my future should be a lot less stressful with her in it. Thank you Dr. Pitts!!!

I recently had an amazing experience with both the Dr. Pitts and her receptionist, Jill. Dr Pitts is incredibly skilled and dedicated, making sure every detail was perfect to get the results I wanted. Her expertise and care were truly impressive. Jill was equally wonderful, always kind and supportive. She made sure all my questions were answered and that I felt comfortable throughout the process. Her hard work and positive attitude made a huge difference in my overall experience. Together, they create a fantastic team that goes above and beyond to ensure patients are well taken care of. I couldn't be happier with the care I’ve received, and I can’t wait to see my results!

I have had a wonderful experience with Dr Pitts. After having a couple of reconstruction surgeries in RI that didn't go well, I was referred to her by another patient of hers. Moving my continued care to her was the best decision I made! She and Jill were so kind, caring and listened and followed up with every single question. I was always treated with top priority. Dr Pitts was able to "clean up" the significant scarring I had from prior surgeries and completed my reconstruction quickly with two surgeries (expanders and the swap). Additionally she had the challenge of balancing both breasts, since I had a unilateral masectomy only, and with some fat grafting succeeded! I am so grateful that our paths crossed and will advocate for her team when I meet others on a similar journey!

Dr. Pitts is caring, compassionate, professional and precise. I was referred to her with a breast cancer diagnosis and couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon. Revisions are a part of reconstruction depending upon how your body is built to heal, how much scar tissue your body makes, and how well you care for your body post-operatively with rest/activity, hydration and nutrition. I have and will continue to choose Dr. Pitts as my advocate and surgeon in this very sensitive journey. She (and Jill) are simply the best.

Dr. Pitts is probably the best physician I've ever had, and I've had a lot of doctors taking care of me over the years because I've had cancer multiple times. I first came to Dr. Pitts during one of the most difficult times in my life, and she has been wonderfully caring and compassionate. I really trust her. She makes me feel heard, and she does wonderful work as well. She does a lot of work with a very vulnerable population (breast cancer patients), and she's consistently advocated for me and gone the extra mile time after time. She's been reconstructing parts of my body basically from scratch, and she's been doing a wonderful, skillful job of it. Her office staff are also wonderful. Jill is extremely competent, and she has also been a wonderful caring advocate especially in dealing with my insurance companies.
