In February 2026, I had my breast reduction surgery with Dr. K., and I truly could not have asked for a better experience. From the initial consultation through every pre-surgery appointment, Dr. K. made me feel completely comfortable. She answered all of my questions with care and thorough explanations and checked in with me multiple times, which really helped ease my nerves. The surgery itself went great, and Dr. K. has been incredibly attentive during all of my follow-up visits. Whenever I’ve reached out with questions about healing, she has responded quickly and thoughtfully. In terms of pain, I experienced very minimal discomfort. At its worst, about 3 days post-op I would rate it a 2/10. It was easily managed with Tylenol, and I didn’t need any prescription pain medication. I was very anxious in the days leading up to surgery, especially about recovery, but there was truly nothing to worry about. My recovery has been smooth and much easier than I expected. By the 1-week mark, I was able to go for short walks and do light chores around the house. Now, at 1 month post-op, I feel very little discomfort and continue to regain my normal daily routine. I’m so grateful for Dr. K.’s expertise and attentive care throughout this entire process. I highly recommend her to anyone considering this procedure.

I got top surgery from Dr. Kiwanuka and she has been wonderful. She is extremely communicative and welcoming. I'm about two weeks through recovery at the moment, and my scars look great. I didn't need drains at all, the pain has been quite minimal, and the recovery overall has been much easier than expected. Highly recommend for any trans men looking for top surgery in NYC!

For years I struggled with the decision to have a breast reduction. After consulting with two other surgeons and not feeling convinced, my experience with Dr. Kiwanuka was completely different. Choosing Dr. Kiwanuka was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’m beyond grateful to her and her amazing team!

Dr K was an incredible doctor. I was nervous about finding a surgeon to do my top surgery as a plus size person, but Dr K was phenomenal. My results are exactly what I wanted, and healing went so extremely well. I’m about 6 months post op and everything has healed so well. 10/10, I recommend Dr K to all my friends (or anyone) seeking top surgery.

I had my radical reduction earlier this year with Dr. Kiwanuka at the Breast Surgery Group. She was AMAZING and the job she did was phenomenal. I showed some friends the results and they're all amazed with how it looks. I went from a 32I to a 32Bish! No issues with healing at all. She was very clear about expectations and really listened to what I wanted. I'm beyond grateful for finding her. I can't recommend her services enough.
