Three months post op from high def lipo 360 including legs and arms w/bbl and Renuvion J-plasma. I highly recommend Dr. De La Cruz, the office team and surgical team. From going in for consultations to post care everyone has been top notch and makes you feel like family.
For those who want a more in depth review I’ll get into more details here. My initial consultation with Dr. De La Cruz was fantastic. I’ve been to many plastic surgeons for consultations in the past and none have been so detailed and offered such honest expectations. He spent over an hour getting my medical history, listening to my goals and going over all the details of the procedures. It wasn’t just about me though, he talked about his experience and past patients and had a lot of before and after photos he was eager to show me. He talked about his experience as a sculptor, being double board certified and you could tell he really takes pride and enjoys what he does. Even though I left confident that he was the surgeon I was going to choose, it still took me about a year to commit. During that time there was never any pressure from his team to book like I’ve experienced from other surgeons.
Pre op was what you would expect. I had multiple labs done ahead of time and the office team was in contact with me regularly to make sure I had all the info I would need for purchasing supplies, supplements and offering lists for massage and aftercare facilities.
I was nervous the morning of surgery but the nurses and anesthesiologist put me at ease. The surgical facility is top notch also and I was their only patient so I didn't feel like there was a rush to get me out so they could get to the next patient. I’ve watched tons of vlogs of women getting these surgeries and coming out of anesthesia shaking cold and just sent out the door to go home like that, like they’re just cattle being herded through as quickly as possible. That terrified me and it was NOT like that here. I was well monitored, well taken care of and not released to my aftercare provider until I was ready.
Post op: as far as pain goes it was minimal throughout my recovery with the exception of the massages. The massages are not easy and they are painful, but you do feel better after having them. There is a lot of excess fluid and swelling so be prepared for that. I did spend 9 days at a recovery home and I would highly recommend doing that. I needed the extra care for keeping track of my meds, helping to use the restroom/showering and keeping my garments cleaned. They also drove me to/from my post surgery checkup the next day. Dr. De La Cruz did call personally to check in on me the first night of surgery and I had his personal number to reach him in case of any emergency or questions. I feel like that’s another nice gesture you wouldn’t get with other surgeons.
Being three months post op now I’m starting to see my results. I still have some swelling especially in my lower stomach (to be expected because I had multiple previous surgeries in that area, c-section, tummy tuck and back surgery). But so far I’m thrilled with the results and I know it’ll continue to improve.
If you’re planning on having any cosmetic procedures done I would seriously consider Dr. De La Cruz and his team. Is he the cheapest? No. Will you be treated with the highest level of care and expertise? YES! And that was worth every bit of the expense to me.
