About Dr. Hermann

Dr. Hermann Lorenz is a Professor of Plastic Surgery and Chief of Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Stanford University, where he has built a distinguished career in craniofacial and reconstructive surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine in 1987 and completed general surgery residency at UCSF, which included five clinical years and three years in a research fellowship in the UCSF Fetal Treatment Center. Dr. Lorenz subsequently completed plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at UCLA and a craniofacial surgery fellowship at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and Stanford University Hospital. He is affiliated with Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford and Stanford Health Care.
