I was attacked by 120lb sheppard ,i needed reconstructive surgury Doctor Adler flat linned me 6 times after i told him to use a pediatric size 6 tube during operation he did a terrible job i had a co pay of 11k he did not even come close to completing what we agreed on and argued with my attorney! His staff treated me bad as i was in post tramatic shock! He sucks and robbed me

Consultation was comprehensive, Dr. Adler himself was pleasant. I made sure to ask what my insurance coverage would be vs. personal responsibility, was told that with my particular insurance it shouldn't be a problem and it would be covered and if for some reason it was not they would reach out to me ahead of time. In office procedures are only done on one day as per the office, rearranged my schedule to make it work. Had phone call with office 2 to 3 days prior as well as day of to confirm. At no point did the staff mention that there was in fact an insurance issue until I got to the office for my procedure at which time they then told me it would have to be paid for out of pocket for a sum they were unsure of but could be over a thousand. I told them I was unaware of this. Decided to seek out different provider. My biggest issue is not that the procedure is not covered it is that the office knew already and did not mention it until I was already in office. They had reached out to my insurance weeks prior and known about the coverage issue, I am unsure why they did not call me ahead of time or mention it during the phone call to confirm the appointment. Not only did this waste my time but also clogged an appointment spot for someone else who might have been able to get in sooner for their procedure. While it may simply be an oversight, I was left with the impression that I was simply allowed to come in on the hopes I would decide to pay out of pocket because I was already there and put time into the process rather than make it easier and allow me to make that choice via phone. Would have been happy to verify with my insurance had they suggested it, they did not and instead made it seem as if it wasn't something I needed to worry about. Very frustrating.
