One of the worst experiences with a healthcare provider I've encountered. I went to him to try to get a small bump removed from underneath my eyelid. He was rude, short, and didn't want to answer any of my questions. Barely gave me any information and rushed me out of the office. Paid $400 out of pocket, only to find that the problem didn't get solved. I called a month and a half after the operation to ask for care advice because the bump seemed to still be there, and the receptionist was just as rude and short, telling me I had to pay $250 to come in to see him again; they wouldn't answer any questions over the phone about how to help hasten recovery. After I told them this was unacceptable, she put me on hold, presumably talked to Dr. Cohen again, and told me to wait another month to see if my eyelid got better. It's been four months. My eye is still in pain. They won't try to help remove the bump again without my paying another $400. (Also forgot to mention they had originally quoted $400 over the phone, but then Dr. Cohen tried to tell me in the office that it was a higher amount. I had to negotiate with him and plead to keep the original amount.) I felt like a number, not a person, and Dr. Cohen came off as someone who doesn't care about his patients, just someone trying to squeeze money out of people without actually providing care. I've already warned my opthalmologist office about him. I've heard other patients have had similar issues. Stay away!

Do NOT go to this guy. Puts himself out there as a “neuro ophthalmologist” who specializes in eye/brain issues? Then you get there and they ask for a credit card and the whole place is full of info about eye lifts and other cosmetic procedures. Cohen Looked at my eyes for a minute and Told me to take eye drops for my severe dry eye that I was referred for, then sent me a bill for almost FIvE HUNDRED dollars, as my insurance company was apparently privy to the news that he’s not a real eye specialist, and bounced the bill. A month later I found a real ophthalmologist who put me on an eye drop steroid so I could return to a full work day. Just finished ripping into the doc that referred me, warning people here. Maybe he’s great if you want an eyelid tuck but he knows ZERO about eye health and guard your credit card with your life.

I have known Dr. Cohen since 2008 when he corrected severe pitosis and under eye "luggage". He also raised my eyebrows slightly, which made a huge difference, and permanently removed the crease between my eyebrows. The result was subtle and looked very natural. And - it's held up well for almost fifteen years. Dr. Cohen is caring, responsive, and invested in helping his patients feel better about themselves, but without going overboard. I highly recommend him and his staff of medical estheticians.

Dr. Cohen expertly corrected a poorly executed blepharoplasty done by another doctor three years prior. I wish I had gone to him in the first place.
