Dr. Mele preformed osteoplasty on my ears. I had well formed ears, but they stuck out too much, and I had wanted, for many years, to do this. He was nice, and had good pictures, but I have a deep regret for trusting him. My ears came out malformed and inconsistent. The right side appears to have a big chunk removed from the middle outer lobe, and the tops stick out on both sides. It's not appealing. I chose local anesthesia, so witnessed the process. He was playing rock music and he and his assistant were guessing the names of the bands. He was not quietly concentrated and sensitive as one should have been, taking a fine art approach. I strongly believe that a doctor in this position has an unspoken obligation to perform to the very best of his capability as the patient is trusting him and has to live with the outcome for the rest of his or her life.

I have had a few procedures done before I started going to Dr. Mele over the years, and it has been my experience that most medical offices nowadays only care about the cost of procedures they can charge to their patients. Dr. Mele's office is different. He and his office staff are always personal and professional. I might be too old to have any procedures in the future, but I truly appreciate their dedication to their patients. Thank you Dr. Mele, Monica and Monica!

LOVE DR. Mele and his team. I spent over 6 months researching surgeons in the Bay Area. I came in with a very long list of questions. From the start his team from the front office were so delightful. Highly organized and prepared to answer any questions. My consultation with Dr. Mele was very thorough and he answered my entire list of 50+ questions. I am 4 weeks out of surgery so the end result has yet to be determined, but the overall experience has been incredible. Dr. Mele is easy to talk to, explains everything without being condescending (it's like talking to your neighbor) and he is 100% available and on time. I would highly recommend him as a doctor and his staff for their support and assistance.

After careful consideration I have decided to post my surgical experience with Dr. Joseph Mele. I initially sought out his services to fix a complication known as "double bubble" that had occurred during a previous breast augmentation procedure performed by a different surgeon. The plan was to remove both of my saline breast implants to allow him to surgically repair my left pectoral muscle while giving the area time to heal before placing new saline implants in both breasts. The damage far exceeds the financial and emotional toll this has caused me. I have never received an apology, an offer of reimbursement, a follow up...........nothing. Words cannot express how devastating this experience has been to myself and my family.
