This review has been a long time coming; I’ve been meaning to write it since 2023. In Oct. 2023, I underwent bilateral breast removal and reconstruction with Dr. Arya. One month later, I had an exchange surgery. Unfortunately, I then left Dr. Arya and traveled to Cedars Sinai in LA, where I experienced a botched and disfiguring procedure performed by another plastic surgeon. I underwent three surgeries there, resulting in one breast sagging almost to my belly button and the other near my collarbone. Thankfully, I returned to Dr. Arya, and she graciously agreed to fix the extensive mess I had gotten myself into. On Oct 17, 2025, I had my final reconstruction surgery, and the results are truly incredible! Dr. Arya exceeded my expectations; she is a remarkably talented artist and plastic surgeon. My breasts now look natural, symmetrical and lifted. I no longer look like a monster! I am very picky, and I’ve met with over 15 plastic surgeons during my cancer journey. Many turned me away due to the complexity of my case and offered poor results, said I had to go flat or offered procedures like the latissimus flap. In my household, we say Dr. Arya "under promises and over performs." She is not only an exceptional surgeon but also a wonderful human being, kind, caring, and compassionate. Scripps is truly fortunate to have her on their team! An added bonus: she advocated to save my areolas and nipples during my mastectomy, despite being told beforehand that it wouldn’t be possible. I woke up to a gift, my nipples and areolas were spared! Her office is easy to get ahold of, often replying within minutes through MyChart. She even went above and beyond by helping me choose a surgeon and went over the pros and cons of radiation and helped me in making an informed decision, on whether to undergo radiation. All of her nurses are equally wonderful and caring. I cannot recommend Dr. Arya enough; she is a gifted surgeon and a genuinely kind person. Thank you, Dr. Arya, for giving me my confidence back and making me feel normal again after cancer!

I saw Dr Arya, she was recommended by my Dr who did my mastectomy; unfortunately my experience is horrible, my breast do not look good. Her billing person is not friendly and she will not update the CPT codes even if the insurance asked for it, and is ok. Now I have a $3,500 bill with this Dr. I will not recommended her or anyone on her team.

Dr. Jyoti Arya and her staff in suite 112 are the best! Very professional, kind and compassionate. You can tell they are care about the patient and you as a human being. I went to see Dr. Arya for a consult for reconstruction options at same time of my mastectomy for a local recurrence of breast cancer. To complicate things even more I had radiation to that same side back in 2013. Dr. Arya explained all my options and what she believed to be best option given my background and current situation. It was a super stressful time for me and she was very patient with me during all my questions and follow up appointments. This was a huge decision for me and I finally said I’m just going to trust her. This was the best decision I ever made! She really cares about her patients and it shows. Thank you, Dr. Arya!!! When time came for surgery, it was almost cancelled in Jan 2022 with spike of Covid and no hospital beds. She fought for me to keep my surgery dates as having my latissimus flap reconstruction at same time of mastectomy would be my best option (limited to have good results with other options due to radiation). I knew I had made the right choice with Dr.Arya. She got me thought surgery, recovery and follow up visits. Her nurses are great (sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names), but most recently saw Lauren and Carla. They are fabulous!!! I’m not done my journey as I had to have 6 rounds of chemo, which slowed my healing process. Now that I finished last chemo today, ready to continue to heal and with filling my expanders and eventually have some revisions and implant exchange. Fully confident in Dr. Arya and her amazing staff from the front desk, scheduler and all her nurses. They have all been wonderful! Highly recommend!!!! Huge thank you for being so wonderful to me!!!!!! :)
