I have gone back and forth for two and a half years about writing this. But the truth is, what happened to me changed my life. I was someone who was “botched.” I was healthy. I was active. I was present. I was a hands-on mother. I was running my business. I was living my life fully. After my surgery with Dr. Raffy, can’t even call him a doctor _, everything fell apart. Instead of feeling more confident and happy, I was left dealing with ongoing physical complications that affected my daily functioning. What was supposed to be a single procedure turned into years of pain, fear, medical appointments, corrective treatments, and emotional trauma. Doctors I saw afterward told me that “it will never be perfect” and that they would “try their best to fix it.” Hearing those words as a woman — after trusting someone with your body — is heartbreaking. You don’t prepare yourself mentally for being told that you may never feel whole again. For two and a half years, my life revolved around trying to recover. I missed moments with my child because I physically couldn’t show up the way I used to. I was exhausted, in pain, emotionally drained. As a mother, that is the deepest wound. Time with your child is something you can never get back. As a businesswoman, I had to step back from opportunities, meetings, growth, because my focus became survival and healing. No one talks about what happens when cosmetic surgery doesn’t go as planned. The emotional impact. The identity shift. The loss of confidence. The quiet suffering. Physically I was in bed for almost 2.5 years((( I am still dealing with the consequences. I am sharing this because other women deserve to hear real experiences before making life-altering decisions. This is not written out of anger. It is written out of pain, truth, and a desire for transparency. After first surgery went bad !(( he blamed on me and said it’s easy to fix! But it went so bad that words can’t explain…… I trusted this doctor with my body. He is also a family friend!! The outcome has cost me years of my life — as a woman, as a mother, and as a professional. I don’t know how he got all this fake positive reviews!! Believe me they are all fake for 2 years he is trying hard with reviews! Several times he removed my review! I am in contact with Google now , If I have to report to medical board I will! Please think before you step there! And I am not the only one , he is keep removing reviews where people where bootched I think it’s still a few on yelp I hope no other woman has to experience what I have lived through. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!! At Kare Plastic Surgery they went above and beyond to help me. I had a mommy makeover in Tijuana and had a seroma that needed draining. Every doctor, urgent care, and ER refused to help me until I found Dr. Karamanoukian. Him and his team made me feel extremely comfortable and never once made me crazy for doing a surgical procedure outside of the states. I will forever be grateful for him and his team and would absolutely recommend anyone to come and see for yourself! I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!

Dr Raffy is not only a genuinely nice person, but he is talented as well. I searched for someone who could do silicone lip removal and Dr Raffy was highly recommended by a very well-known plastic who knew how good Dr Raffy was at that procedure. I was a bit anxious but Dr Raffy allayed all of my concerns and my trust in him was very well placed. Thank you Dr Raffy!!

I’ve had such a positive experience at Kare Plastic Surgery. I originally went in for TMJ and swollen parotid glands—two issues that aren’t well documented in people my age (25). After searching all over LA County and visiting multiple clinics, I struggled to find anyone who truly understood or treated parotid gland hypertrophy with Botox. Eventually, I came across Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian, who is one of the only specialists I’ve found in Los Angeles who actually offers this treatment. Throughout the past year, I’ve gone from doctor to doctor without anyone really listening to me or trying to help. Dr. Raffy was the complete opposite. He took the time to hear every concern, validated what I was experiencing, and worked with me to find a solution that made sense for my specific case. He was gentle, caring, and supportive from start to finish. I finally feel like I’m in good hands, and I look forward to continuing to see him for the foreseeable future.

If you want a team that actually cares about you, go to Kare Plastic Surgery. I came back to LA after having surgery abroad and could not find anyone to remove my stitches. Kare Plastic Surgery saved me, and they did far more than a simple appointment. Nurse Mania was incredibly gentle and removed every stitch with zero pain. She checked my incision carefully and made sure everything looked perfect. Dr. Karamanoukian even came in to review my incision, gave me helpful healing tips, and provided a dark scar defense cream that has already made a huge difference. My incision is barely noticeable at one month post op, which says everything. What stood out most was that they truly cared about my healing even though I was not their patient originally. That level of kindness is rare. The front desk girls were also so sweet and patient. They answered all my questions and made scheduling easy at a time when I was frustrated from multiple clinics who told me they could help but turned me away when I arrived. I usually travel out of the country for any cosmetic care because of past bad experiences in LA. After the warmth and professionalism I experienced here, I will absolutely consider Kare Plastic Surgery for future procedures. Also, the office is beautiful!
