About Dr. Kavita

Dr. Kavita Vakharia is a board-certified plastic surgeon and Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at City of Hope Cancer Center in Duarte, California, where she specializes in reconstructive surgery for cancer patients. She earned her medical degree and completed her integrated plastic surgery residency at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania, then pursued an orthopedic hand and microvascular fellowship at the University of New Mexico and specialty training as a Poche Fellow in melanoma and cutaneous surgical oncology at the Melanoma Institute Australia in Sydney. Dr. Vakharia is a physician-scholar with more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications to her name.
