Selecting a plastic surgeon can be overwhelming. There are a number of variables to consider including the quality of a doctor's results and adherence to techniques that prioritize safety. Having had experiences with multiple plastic surgeons, I felt compelled to share a bit about what makes Dr. Hughes an exceptional surgeon: 1) a review of his educational background, rigorous training and credentials offers a foundation of confidence upon which patients can proceed knowing they are in the best hands 2) he has performed thousands of procedures and has an extensive before/after photo gallery with AMAZING results that speak for themselves 3) he is an excellent listener and effective educator. There are so many moving parts that contribute to the final outcome of any procedure, and he does a great job of empowering you with information about the procedure itself, what to expect during the post-operative period as well as the nature of results you can expect. 4) he not only produces beautiful outcomes for first-time procedures but is also an expert on the improvement of suboptimal results from surgery performed by other doctors. My most recent surgery with Dr. Hughes was for correction of deformities sustained after a different surgeon was aggressive with liposuction to my inner thighs, leaving me with unsightly dents/hollowed out areas. Revision surgeries are always more complicated procedures. Nevertheless, Dr. Hughes was able to achieve excellent improvement to my contour irregularities by performing a fat transfer to the areas of concern. Although I cannot say that his ability to fix my issue came as any surprise, I am grateful; to him for being a stellar surgeon and to me for finding him. I received a brachioplasty around 2020 during the height of the pandemic. Although I understood that COVID created challenges, I was under the impression that because elective procedures were still being performed, I would receive an appropriate standard of care before, during, and after surgery. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. It has taken me a long time to write this review because the experience left me mentally and emotionally distressed. The level of care I received was far below what I believe any patient should expect from a physician. Communication was poor, follow-up felt minimal, and concerns I raised were not adequately addressed. The surgical outcome itself was extremely disappointing. And feels like an episode of botched in a way that cannot be corrected without potentially making the situation worse. What was supposed to be a relatively straightforward surgery has instead left me with lasting physical results and deeper insecurities than I had before undergoing the procedure. This experience has caused ongoing stress, regret, and emotional pain. I truly wish I made different choices.

Dr Hughes has performed many of my surgeries, everything -liposuction of my upper lower back buffalo hump bra rolls stomach and sides double chin area; fat transfer BBL ( couple times)buttocks implants. I’m always very happy with his work. He is an amazing surgeon, and a great guy !!!
