It’s honestly hard to put into words how much I appreciate Dr. Kriya Gishen and her entire team. I chose Dr. Kriya for Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) as part of my gender transition after consulting with three other surgeons. From our very first appointment, I knew she was the right surgeon for me. I felt completely comfortable with her, and it was clear she was genuinely passionate about being part of my journey.
Dr. Kriya Gishen has a true calling for plastic surgery. She deeply understands what creates a feminine, balanced face and focuses on what is truly necessary rather than recommending every possible procedure. From the beginning, our aesthetic vision was completely aligned. She put incredible thought into creating results that look natural and beautiful — never overdone. She exceeded my expectations not only with the surgery itself, but with her exceptional aftercare, communication, and support throughout the healing process.
Her entire staff is outstanding. From the front office to the PA in my surgery suite, everyone is competent, compassionate, and incredibly supportive. Facial Feminization Surgery is a vulnerable and emotional experience, and they made me feel safe every step of the way. Even my mother, who was extremely nervous before my surgery, felt completely reassured after meeting Dr. Kriya. Her calm confidence, skill, and warmth put all of our fears at ease. She has been quick to answer every question and address every concern I have had throughout the recovery process.
One thing that meant a lot to me was her personal understanding of rhinoplasty recovery. Having had a rhinoplasty herself, Dr. Kriya was able to explain the healing process in a way that felt informed and compassionate. As my swelling continues to go down, I couldn’t be happier with my results. Looking at my nose used to bring me anguish — now I feel joy and peace when I look in the mirror. The shape is natural and beautifully balanced with the rest of my face.
When I see my reflection, I don’t see an overworked or unnatural result. I see myself — aligned with who I’ve always known myself to be. As a transgender woman, that is indescribably meaningful. Dr. Kriya Gishen honored my ideas, respected my aesthetic goals, and helped make something I had dreamed about for years a reality.
She works with many different patients, but she has a remarkable ability to make transgender patients feel respected, affirmed, and understood. My dysphoria around my appearance has improved dramatically since my Facial Feminization Surgery. I feel incredibly lucky to have found her.
There truly isn’t anyone else I would have trusted with my face. I am deeply grateful for her skill, compassion, and the care of her entire team.
