I don’t usually write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Dr. Marco Maricevich. While he is not mean and does come across as friendly, I did not feel that he genuinely took interest in my care. From the start, I was poorly informed about what to expect with my breast reduction surgery. I had to research most things on my own. His physician assistant was kind and friendly, but Dr. Maricevich himself provided very little direct communication. On the day of surgery, I was told they were running late, and everything felt extremely rushed. After surgery, I woke up in excruciating, unbearable pain. Despite this, I was not prescribed anything stronger than Tylenol, and my mother was told I would need to contact my primary care physician for pain management. Dr. Maricevich never came to check on me personally after surgery. When I finally saw the surgical results, I was very unhappy. One breast was noticeably larger than the other, and the left breast appeared rushed. My surgical report showed a 190g difference in tissue removed between the breasts, which further concerned me. I repeatedly expressed the level of pain I was in, but I was only seen by the PA, not the surgeon. I was told everything was “fine” despite ongoing severe pain. The office is also extremely difficult to reach communication is limited to MyChart, which is frustrating when urgent concerns arise. Now, four weeks later, I am still in significant pain, have received little guidance on how to manage it, and still have not seen the surgeon who performed my operation. As a patient using government insurance, I can’t help but feel like my care was treated as less important. Regardless of insurance, I am still a person who deserved proper communication, follow-up, and compassion. I would urge anyone going through him to think twice and try to find another surgeon as you will more than likely be disappointed. I rated it a 1 overall because the lack of care and concern for your patients. I am still in yet in pain and I have to wait til the 27th to be seen. I do not like how my boobs look at all and I am very disappointed with the look of them, I wish I would’ve never gone through with the surgery.

He is a great surgeon! I had breast cancer in 2023 and I had double mastectomy and he did really well throughout the entire recovery. He is knowledgeable, kind and a good professional. I am really happy with the result.

Kema If you see this call me! I had a simple nip tuck. Rushed back for emergency surgery an hour after leaving Baylor Spent 2 days in ICU and one day in regular room. Tried to suggest it was because I have High blood pressure. My Blood pressure was just fine before during and after surgery. On the way home blew 2 hematomas' Ps the surgery all dropped and I look just like I did before the surgery

After doing some research on this doctor I decided to move forward with an appointment everything was okay until the day before surgery when I explained I wanted to wait a little to lose a little more weight and just really see if this is my best option before going under the knife. He explained he wouldn’t do the surgery a month later he basically was saying it’s now or never. On the day of surgery which was the next day I ensured him I wanted to stay a B cup I showed him I wanted to fit into my existing bra basically to just lift what I already have to help with the strain this doctor and his team took off almost all of my breast I’m not a full A cup, I have no cleavage whatsoever. I don’t know what I am. The scarring is horrible and he used drainage which I was told he doesn’t normally do by his PA, this also left the skin under my arms to point outward from pulling out the drainage, which also contributed to the darkened areas under the breast due to the blood settling. 4 month post op and I’m so disappointed if you are a person of color or not please choose another doctor that is more knowledgeable and in tuned with what is right for your situation that offers other breast reduction methods, this doctor used the most abrasive method leaving me with scarring, that’s unnecessarily too long. I don’t understand it and Im trying my best to move forward mentally with what’s left of my breast.
