I have been forced to make a decision on my well being, however the staff and Doctor were kind and understanding. The Doctor explained to me the process in detail and did not force me to make a decision without it, my procedure will be done in time and therefore I can afford to wait, I so appreciate that he was patient. All the Doctors I’ve seen at Methodist hospital they all have been patient and understanding. The staff through out very kind. I’ve never regretted my decision to get the care I need at Methodist.

I was only able to see Dr. Kaufman once after several last-minute cancellations on his end due to schedule changes. He was very kind and seemed knowledgeable during the visit, but scheduling a follow-up was a nightmare — entirely due to his clinical coordinator and medical assistant, Yolanda. She was consistently unresponsive, failed to return multiple calls and messages, and did not follow up as promised, making it nearly impossible to coordinate care. When my imaging results became available, Dr. Kaufman refused to review them virtually or through the patient portal, insisting on an in-person visit instead — despite the repeated scheduling issues and my concern about taking time off work only for another potential cancellation. This experience was unlike any I’ve ever had with other Houston Methodist providers. While Dr. Kaufman himself was pleasant and professional, the complete lack of communication and follow-through from Yolanda made the process incredibly frustrating and ultimately unmanageable.

I would rate him higher if I could. Dr. Kaufman was nothing short of phenomenal through multiple surgeries, a hospital stay, and weeks of recovery. His knowledge, patience and experience can in no way be understated. His professional and courteous staff, particularly Patty, made sure I left each visit with no question unanswered- (and we had lots of them). Dr. Kaufman is an exceptionally gifted surgeon I’m beyond thrilled with my experience and highly recommend Dr. Kaufman. 5 stars all the way!

Dr Kaufman is one of the best Doctors I have come across, He explained the surgery procedure to remove a tumor from my right thumb in such detail and made me feel so confident. Also, DR Kaufman's staff is so amazing, especially his clinical coordinator Patty, who was constantly in touch with me during my treatment with Dr Kaufman, She called several times to inquire how I was doing. Love these guys.

Dr. Kaufman was very personable I never felt like he was in a hurry whenever I went to see him. He explain the procedures in depth. His post op was excellent he fully explained what was happening and what would happen to me post op. My incision is very minimal it looks beautiful I am very happy and satisfied with Dr. Kaufman’s service
