I was so nervous getting my surgery done yesterday but the clinic staff and the staff at the hospital as well as the anesthesiologist did their best to keep me at ease and make the surgery as smooth as possible! I’ve been walking around since I had the surgery and feeling a lot better and it’s just the 2nd day! Can’t wait to see my results!

Dr. Michael Ogilvie has been my surgeon for two years. I have been through countless surgeries for over 25 years and treated by several doctors. Dr. Ogilvie is my favorite for several reasons including his confidence, patience, honesty, perfectionism, and intelligence. Being operated on and hospitalized during Covid was unique but I never worried because I was cared for by the best! I referred several friends and strangers to Dr. Ogilvie and everyone feels the same way about his surgical skills. His impressive education including Harvard and University of Chicago led me to choose him!

I met Dr. Ogilvie in January of this year with concerns related to my breast reconstruction ( performed by another plastic surgeon ) after my double mastectomy 5 yrs ago. At that time I was experiencing pain/ discomfort in one breast and the appearance of the breasts were not as they should be. At my first consultation Dr. Ogilvie and I talked in depth about my medical history and my breast cancer/ reconstruction journey. After my exam he diagnosed me w/ Capsular Contracture and he also pointed out some other cosmetic issues that he felt could be addressed/ taken care of. He explained in detail what my options and surgical plan would be. He answered all my questions and concerns BUT wanted me to think everything over before making my final decision, no pressure at all and wished me luck moving forward no matter what my final decision may have been. Today I am one month post-op from my revision. My surgery went well and as planned by Dr. Ogilvie. I feel so comfortable and most important pain-free. I am extremely happy with my results ( better than I have ever been since day one of my reconstruction ). I highly recommended Dr. Ogilvie and his staff !!!! And, I also thank you Dr. Ogilvie for your compassion, understanding, knowledge in breast cancer reconstruction and making me comfortable and whole again !

Dr. Ogilvie is professional and compassionate. I trusted and felt comfortable with him from our first consultation. He took the time to explain the process and what I should expect. I appreciated the fact that he did not try to recommend any procedures I did not need or want. Dr. Ogilvie throughly and patiently answered my questions. I always felt as if I was his only patient. The entire staff was attentive to my needs. The staff members knew who I was and what needed to be done. What a great experience!

I had a double mastectomy in June 2017 and had a very bad experience with the previous reconstruction surgeon, who eventually resigned from the hospital. I had already lost one of my breast expanders during that bad experience. Then the hospital hired Dr. Michael Ogilvie. In August 2017, he came to my rescue when I had to lose the other breast expander. Since Dr. Ogilvie came on board with the hospital, I have been very impressed with his knowledge and he has been very informative in every step during my reconstruction process. Dr. Ogilvie and his staff have been professional, respectful and are down to earth people. They have always made me feel comfortable and positive. It has been a long road for me, to which they have been compassionate and very supportive with everything I have been through. I am very fortunate to have an awesome doctor, Dr. Ogilvie, in my life and receiving the best reconstructive care.
