Dr. Van Vliet and his medical team were excellent, both in skill and compassion, as I’ve navigated surgery and recovery! From the initial consult, he respected my preferences and clinical goals, and during an uncertain time, his team gave me confidence and reassurance. I'm very grateful for the prompt care and positive outcome I received when I needed surgery to then start other treatment. There are a few aspects of the patient experience that could potentially be improved. With how popular of a surgeon he is, waiting can be expected, but on one occasion during about an hour delay in the waiting room, the TV happened to be playing Occupation: Rainfall, while calm music or more neutral programming might have been more appropriate for a waiting room environment. When I was brought back, there was also a brief room mix-up with another patient, adding some extra delay. Overall, I've been very satisfied with the practice, the care provided, and my surgical outcome! Update: I appreciate Dr. Van Vliet taking the time to respond so thoughtfully to my review. His professionalism and openness to patient feedback are clear as he is actively taking steps to continually improve the patient experience. Thanks, Dr. Van Vliet!

I was referred to Dr VanVliet after being diagnosed with breast cancer. He immediately met with me and discussed my options for surgery. He was able to perform the reconstructive surgery at the same time the tumor was removed. I had minimal discomfort, numerous follow up appointments and great results. Dr VanVliet is an extremely skilled surgeon with a sincere compassion for his patients. His office is very busy for a reason!

Dr Van Vliet is exceptionally skilled! He sutured me up after my double mastectomy. I stayed flat and i’m so incredibly happy with the results!! He’s compassionate, caring and took the time to answer any questions or concerns I had post surgery. His staff are also great! Bailey is so lovely, and Katie (I’m sure that was her name, it was 10 months ago and I was on pain meds) was so kind the day after my surgery when she came to do the rounds. She was a breath of fresh air! Thank you Dr Van Vliet!!

Dr. Van Vliet is one of the best physicians I have ever had. He has all of the qualities one would want in a doctor - knowledgeable, professional, kind and attentive. His office is extremely well run. The entire staff is magnificent! Dr Van Vliet and his team turned an unpleasant situation into one that was endurable with a positive outcome.

Dr Van Vliet and his staff were there for me during one of the most difficult times in my life. Every time I entered their office I was greeted with smiles and well wishes. Dr Van Vliet took great care of me and answered all my questions. He performed my breast reconstruction and followed through with wonderful care. I highly recommend him and his practice!
