I was a patient of Dr. Cohen, and unfortunately I can’t recommend her. My experience was disappointing from the very beginning. I asked for a natural, subtle result that would fit my slim frame, but she placed the implants over the muscle, which made them look fake, hard, and noticeably uneven, especially because she used the same size on both sides despite differences in my natural tissue. Some of the nursing staff also made the experience worse. They were impatient, dismissive, and seemed bothered when I asked reasonable questions. For anyone going through gender-affirming care, that lack of compassion is especially hurtful. I eventually had the implants removed, and that ended up being the best decision for me. The removal left me with scarring and hyperpigmentation something that should have been better considered and discussed from the start. Overall, I didn’t feel listened to or cared for. I stayed quiet because I needed the removal done, but after living with the results for a long and difficult year, I can finally be honest. If you’re seeking gender-affirming breast surgery, I strongly recommend exploring other surgeons. I hope this helps others make an informed decision.

Dr. Cohen and her staff at NYU are amazing. She did my breast reduction a few days ago, and my experience from the beginning of our initial consultation to the day of surgery has been the smoothest. I would highly recommend her. I have minimal pain and can't wait to see my new breast.

I had a Panniculectomy September 2023, and now a scar revision May 3rd 2024. She's very kind, she makes you feel very comfortable! She's funny and very honest. As a patient you have to always ask questions this way her or any other doctor can make you feel 100% positive about any procedure you may have, and that's what I did. Which is why I felt so comfortable. The new staff is amazing! You feel between comfortable with everyone, Savanna is great as well. Helped me when I had pain from stitches, provided me with antibiotic ointment that worked a miracle. Thank you! Added before and after photos! I have a belly button now! Dr Cohen def gets a 5 star from me.

I was apprehensive meeting Dr Cohen because her phone operators were extremely rude twice but once at her office the staff was pleasant from the assistant who ushers you inside to her assistant who was a dream and then came Dr Cohen who was charming, characteristic professional knowledgeable truthful trustworthy and very personable and my hope was restored. I trust Dr Cohen and know God will use her hands to heal me. I recommend giving her a chance regardless of the incompetence in charge of telephones. Dr Cohen and her team deserve better representation because she seems to be sincere and an expert in her field. I can’t wait to meet with her again .

Dr. Cohen and her PA Savannah are absolutely incredible! I have been struggling with breast cancer for 12 years and dealing with the physical effects. This past year I was able to go off of chemotherapy and after meeting with several surgeons, chose Dr. Cohen to do my reconstruction. She was patient, kind, and explored all of the options. I ultimately chose to go with the least invasive solution (an implant in the damaged breast with some of my own fat and a lift on the opposite breast) and I am so pleased with the outcome! Other surgeons told me I would need much more extensive surgery to achieve a "normal" look. But Dr. Cohen was able to give me what I wanted with an easy recovery. I can't begin to express my gratitude. I feel as if I am my "old self" prior to getting cancer. Thank you so much!!!
