I met with Dr. Kim when he started at Atrius Health a couple of years ago. In March of 2021 he performed a Left basal thumb arthroplasty. Short for arthritis in my thumb. I was never 100% after the surgery and in Dr Kim's notes he noted as of 3/ 2023 when I last complained about the 2 year swelling that " these things take time". To date, I got an Xray and MRI. I went outside the network for a second opinion and was told that there's nothing holding up my thumb. The new doctor was astonished and immediately explained that my surgery was done incorrectly. He felt it was so important he scheduled me for surgery this Monday, October 14th , in just 6 days! Yes, I have to have surgery again a second time. I am frustrated because before Dr. Kim recently left Atrius I complained for years and he NEVER cared enough to request an Xray or MRI of my thumb. I am young - 46. But my thumb makes me feel like I'm 92 y.o. I hope my new Orthopedic Dr. makes me whole!

Dr . Kim is the best doctor and person that I've ever met or had experience with in my entire life. I'm a 41 yr old woman with auto immune disease and suffer from severe arthritis. Dr. Kim treats me for my issues. He is the most understanding, kind, nice, passionate and caring doctor I could have asked for. Please don't hesitate to see him. I absolutely love him.

My 26 y.o. daughter had an appointment with Dr. Kim in Dedham today and saw him and his resident. She has been experiencing chronic hand pain and was hoping to be taken seriously. For problem solving techniques to be applied and for the doctor to have at least pretended that he was interested in finding the cause of her problem. But that's not what happened. Instead, two separate people tried to get her to take a "newer" xray even though she got one 3 weeks ago. Their diagnosis? Probably due to excessive texting? Their solution? Take Aleve daily for a few days or months. Are you kidding me??? Next step? Find another doctor!
