About Dr. Robert

Dr. Robert Foster is a Professor of Surgery and Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCSF, where he has practiced since 1997. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine and completed his plastic surgery fellowship training at UCSF. Dr. Foster directs the breast reconstruction service at the Carol Franc Buck Breast Care Center, performing approximately 300 breast reconstructions annually. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has authored over 49 peer-reviewed publications.
