This Dr is the worst. I was traumatized on the operating table. I was still awake when he stared cutting me! I pleaded with him, telling him I could feel him cutting, I cried, "I feel you cutting me ! you're hurting me. Please give me something or stop!". It took the nurse to finally say ,"doctor,""!" and then he took a big sigh and said OK fine give her some more Dilaudid. It was if he was put out by my pain. I wish I could say that's it, but then when he went to the left side to continue the surgical procedure, I could feel everything there too. Tears were streaming down my cheeks, I pleaded again. " I feel you , I feel the to scraping my tissue!" once again he was put out, another sign of annoyance then he told the nurse to go ahead and give her some more Dilaudid. I fell asleep. When I woke in recovery, he did NOT come in. I went home, I called the office the next day to see when I should come in for a follow up. The nurse put me on hold and when she came back, she told me that the doctor said there is no need for a follow up! What doctor doesn't do a follow up on a surgical procedure?? Do not trust this man, I questioned his sobriety as well. He is not professional and certainly Doesn't have your best interest. STAY CLEAR OF HIM!

Horrible experience. Not the friendly dr I met in his office before he took my money! He seemed rushed the day of surgery, said he had 3 patients that day and spoke to me 2 mins leaving me feeling uncomfortable. Nurses had an argument while they were in the process to put me down which was scary and no clue what happen after. I woke up while lipo was being done so had to b given more meds to b put back to sleep. immediately after, noticed how uneven the lipo looked and was told not to worry it would get better. It never did. He said he would have to redo and gave me the run around to wait longer to heel. Then was told he couldn't redo as he was unavailable. He scammed me, left me in pains for weeks and made me look worst then how I actually looked. Years later I see the lumps and bumps he left me as a reminder of how lack of research on my dr would scar me for life! Stay away!!!!! Update, he works in another state so people do your research!

Did upper eyelid procedure and it did not turn out good at all. At the day of the procedure he looked like he was rushing and barely answered any of my questions. After everything healed my eyes were asymmetrical and I was told by the nurse he would see me to correct it but I will have to wait until it heals and to call back in a month. When I called again in a month I was told to wait at least another 2 months because there is nothing he can do for me now. I wasn't happy about and complained but eventually decided to wait. After 2 months I was told he moved to California and he won't be able to see me. Stay away from this surgeon.

I came to Dr Kagan a year ago. To make a gross story short, I was in bad shape with a network of abscesses under my skin that never responded to medication. I had been to two other places, gotten I&D's that simply became sites that wept and never healed. Dr Kagan has a very sure manner that really kept me from freaking out over all of this. I'd never had surgery, never been put under, and I'm squeamish. I've been there a lot lately, and I can say everyone, from front desk, their nurse, and beyond is very kind, professional, and personable. I have had to do some serious first aid post-surgery and I was given all the tools and tips necessary to get myself to heal properly. they just.. care, they really do. I can say honestly that my quality of life is SO MUCH BETTER after seeing Dr Kagan. I had no idea how bad this was, but now I'm finally living without constant pain and worry and bandaging myself from wounds that never healed without his intervention. A serious thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I was disappointed by this doctor. He was touted as a wound specialist. He performed surgery on a small wound that would not heal on my sister's back. She has stage 4 cancer, and this was a wound from a biopsy and radiation. It was about 1-1.5 inches in diameter, in her lower back, penetrating quite deep - maybe 3 inches. He claimed he could seal it by creating a flap of skin that would be stretched over it and stitched. Surgery included hospitalization. Afterward, she had a 10 by12" flap that had been cut, stretched over the wound and then put back together, sort of like a pie - pieces of a pie made out of skin on her back. It was huge! That lasted for about 1.5 weeks, it began to drain, he had to remove the flap and clean the whole wound out. Turns out, he actually put a hole the size of my hand in her back. It was 8-10" wide and long, and extended at least 5 inched into her back. Huge!!! I could barely look at it. It was incredibly painful, she had to have it cleaned twice a week and would sob and scream the entire time. Now, the wound is healing, but still eight months after surgery not completely healed. She has enormous scars from this surgery. It really didn't seem necessary to create that size of a wound in her back. Also, we had to have weekly appointment for seven months and home health twice a week (not inexpensive). He had kept her waiting for 1.5 hours once and then did not show up. WHAT A JERK! NO ONE DESERVES TREATMENT LIKE THIS - LIKE HE COULD NOT CALL IF HE WAS RUNNING BEHIND OR COULD NOT MAKE IT? Was also 30+ minutes late on other occasion. For a patient who already has so much pain to deal with, this was a huge set-back and really created a horrible quality of life for her. I have had a number of cosmetic procedures done and could not fathom a doctor behaving like this or doing anything this invasive to me without telling me - a complete disclosure with options - in advance. He never told her what - how large of a wound or incision he was going to make. If I were you, I'd run in the other direction!!!!! He is a quack!
