Dr. Abdel-Aty is an extraordinary individual, radiating kindness and attentiveness, truly a beacon of hope. When I first met her, she listened with utmost care, addressed all my concerns, and put me at ease throughout my visit, a remarkable achievement. I have been blessed with bilateral vocal cord paralysis, a challenge that life has presented me for over 25 years. Dr. Abdel-Aty performed my first procedure about 14 months ago, and we shared a triumphant moment, knowing we would conquer this journey together. We envisioned a future where I could breathe more freely, and we made a plan to widen my cords wider, a testament to her dedication. I underwent my second procedure about a month ago, and I am feeling empowered, grateful for every step forward. My post-op visit at their new wing at USF was a testament to their commitment to excellence, and I must commend her staff for their warmth and kindness, making every patient feel valued. I wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Abdel-Aty, a shining example of compassion and expertise

RUN! After a Botox shot in my neck for Spasmodic Dysphonia I awoke the next morning with a severe stiff neck. It progressed to excruciating pain and admittance to the hospital. MRI showed an abscess between 2 vertebrae in my neck that had to be removed. I ended up with a Discectomy and surgical removal of bone and infected tissue. Final diagnosis OSTEOMYELITIS - very serious. After a 10 day hospital stay I'm home on 2 very powerful intravenous antibiotics for 8 weeks, weekly visits from an RN and ongoing doctor appointments with neurosurgeon, infectious disease and PCP. When I asked the neurosurgeon what caused the infection he flat out said "the doctor that gave you the Botox shot did this to you". Remember this name: Dr. YASMEEN ABDEL-ATY and Run!

This doctor is very unprofessional. I have waited 8 months for an appointment with her. On my first appointment day, her office called and said she was sick and made another appointment for me six weeks later. On that appointment day, when I was parking my car they called and said she was sick and would call me later that day to reschedule. No call. After a week. I called and only got their service. Left a message for an appointment. No call. This went on several times. My referring doctor called, no response. I made an appointment in the patient portal. It was for six months later! They finally called after my doctor finally kept calling. I go to the appointment to check in and they said she was out sick! This is at USF! I’m totally done with this doctor! It’s been 10 months! Completely unprofessional! Someone could have called, but how many times can she be sick? I wouldn’t waste my time!
