Dr. Carrie Stern at MSK is an amazing plastic surgeon. I’ve been her patient for almost 6 years now; she did my bilateral DIEP Flap surgery in 1/2021 which took 12 hours to complete. She’s very thorough, compassionate and cares about her patients and their wellbeing. She is truly gifted and has an amazing skill when it comes to reconstructing the breast! Her entire team is also amazing!

During my visit with Dr. Carey Stern and her team on December 8, I was reminded once again of how extraordinary she has been throughout this entire past year. This was not my first time seeing her, and every single visit has been marked by her impeccable understanding, her steady reassurance and the way she takes the time to truly see her patients. She has guided me through each stage of my journey with a calm confidence that has made all the difference. Dr. Stern brings an energy into the room that feels both grounding and uplifting. She explains every step with clarity, answers every concern with patience and carries herself with a blend of expertise and warmth that is rare. I always walk out feeling lighter, more hopeful and fully prepared for whatever comes next. I am genuinely grateful to have her as part of my care team and I could not imagine moving into reconstructive surgery under the guidance of anyone else. Her team reflects the same excellence and compassion, creating an atmosphere where I feel supported and respected. As I prepare for this next step, I feel confident, cared for and grateful for the continuity and dedication they have shown me from the very beginning. I am excited for what comes next and look forward to seeing her again for surgery and the healing and progression that will follow. i will never forget how cold. uninterested and dismissive she was.. had no interest in helping me during my cancer treatment. paid her fees, almost $1000 for her to brush me off. "They may forget what you said - but they will never forget how you made them feel."

Praise the Lord this Dr. here is the best like, no other I highly recommend her. She doesn’t only take care of you and make you look amazing but her and her team goes above and beyond to make you feel like you, Home, she wears her heart on her sleeve. She is a gift from God. I trust her with my life. She’s the best I recommend anybody that’s going through anything. she is the one and only highly recommended. She has certified healing hand. ..

I was terrified from the moment I found out that had breast cancer to the day I went into surgery for my double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Stern knows her field. She is very direct, which may put some people off but she gives you all the information and pulls no punches. She discusses all the outcomes good or bad. I got a few jokes out of her. Of course , I was the one percent of complicated cases after surgery, that she spoke about before my surgery. She, the NP and Fellows monitored me very closely, the whole time I was in the hospital, I knew I was in good hands and even during my second emergency surgery, I knew I picked the best surgeon. I would recommend her without a doubt to everyone who may be in a similar situation. I admire her knowledge and her communication skills with me and my daughter. I am very blessed.
